Statement Document of my trial
Witness Affirmation

By Mr. Isamu Yamasaki

I entered OKI electric company in 1969 and retired in '90.

My job was involved in the trial production of "Bipolar IC"

I criticized OKI's mass dismissal of '78 in my work place, and joined the accusation by union leaders against OKI's managerial posts.

I supported the struggle of dismissal , I didn't join "the calisthenics"also.

I supported the accuser Mr Tanaka when he run for the candidate union election.

The relationship with Mr. Tanaka

I know Mr Tanaka well because I entered OKI in the same year as him, and joined the mandolin club which he was the leader.

The situation at work.

After the dismissal discrimination started against those who supported the struggle or who refused the calisthenics.

The discrimination to me.

After the dismissal my wage assessment was continuously negative, year by year, until I retired twelve years later.

After the dismissal my coworkers didn't talk to me and they didn't let me join in the events at work , welcome parties, year-end parties, etc.

I have a memory of the boss of the general affairs department, Mr Mitarai.

I had been playing badminton with a young man who entered OKI 2 years previously to that time, every lunch break.

One day Mitarai came and joined in playing badminton.

I had known that he hated me by his attitude.

So I thought it was strange that he joined.

At a later date, I was turned down when I asked to the young man to play badminton with me.

When I asked him why he turned me down, he didn't say anything.

I thought Mitarai threatened the young man.
