I respectfully would like to apologize as a Japanese to all the victims of World War II for what our parents did under the name of militarism.
From this point of view, I oppose any wars by any countries and any oppressions by any power.
Also, I would like to accuse the present Japan of its possibility of committing the same errors as the past and bring your attention to it, regarding the following three points.
- Japan's peaceful Constitution and Realities
- Fascism now growing in Japanese companies
- Problem of display the Japanese flag
First, I would like to discuss Japan's Constitution .
During World War II, 3million Japanese died,and Japan caused the demise of about 19 millions of people in various Asian countries.
Reflecting on this, the Japanese Constitution declares give up the right of waging wars.
Its foreword encourages the Japanes people to
hold the Constitution sacred and love to peace, thus
avoiding disregard to other countries' benefits.
In particular, its Ninth Article clearly states that Japan shall never use military force to solve nternational problems, that it shall have no military forever.
Japanese people, I think, should be proud of this peaceful constitution and be hopeful that it sets a precedent to be followed all over the world.
If all the countries act up to this idea, world peace will ultimately be achieved.
