The Tokyo Metropolitan Police office dismissed the accusation.

The reason for the dismissal by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police office is that the statute of limitation was already up "around the autumn of 2003" in this case.

In their answer they said this case happened "around the autumn" of 2000.

But this bid was actually done on December 18th 2000.

No one says December is "around the autumn" in Japan, it is winter.

They intentionally said this time vaguely.

Investigation and Prosecution of the bribery case was held in Sept/Oct 2003.

The statute of limitation for the bid rigging case is 3 years.

Therefore, the police officers knew about the bid rigging because of the investigation of the bribery case at least 2 month, or more, before the time limit.
